John Dramani Mahama, the former president of Ghana has alleged that no one government official is willing to take blame for this current economic mess of the country.
According to him, all the executives of the ruling party including the flagbearer aspirants are insisting that they are not to be blamed for this mess.
Speaking at the launch of his ‘Building The Ghana We want’ campaign at the Volta Region which was monitored by 1Family Radio, the ex-president disclosed that this current mess could have been avoided six years ago if the ruling government has managed the economy very well.
He continued that no member if the NPP wants to take the blame for the current catastrophe including the flagbearer aspirants even though most of them were members of the Economic Management Team.
“They just attribute the economic disaster to external factors which is a flimsy excuse to justify this mess,” he stated. He furthered that this mess which is completely avoidable didn’t begin now.
According to him, despite the sufferings of Ghanaians, the government is still dogged and will not cut down on his costly expenditures which has led us here. “The government continues to waste the precious little we have on unwise projects and bloated government.
“They keep on tightening the noose on the ordinary Ghanaian by piling more taxes on them like the DDEP. The government has no sympathy for Ghanaians,’’ he lamented.
He added that this mess by the government is not only affecting our economy but other areas of your lives.
