President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has sent a congratulatory message to the president-elect of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu.

A tweet shared by the president of Ghana on Thursday March 2, 2023, congratulated Bola Tinubu and also urged him to follow the steps of his predecessors and deepen the relationship between Ghana and Nigeria as done by his predecessors.

In the tweet sighted by 1Family Radio, President Akuffo-Addo stated “warm congratulations, once again, to the president-elect Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu, and the people of Nigeria. Best wishes for his and Nigeria’s success.

He furthered that he expects that the newly-elected president will deepen the friendship between the two countries. “It is my expectation that the President-elect would continue in the stead of past Nigerian leaders, and deepen even further the strong friendship that exists between Nigeria and Ghana.

According to the Ghanaian president, this friendship is based on a shared agenda of freedom, development, security, progress and prosperity.
