The government has come under fire from a segment of Ghanaians who are outraged by the notion that China may have access to Ghana’s mineral earnings and energy sales, which are in default on four loans.
One of these critics is Yvonne Nelson, a Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur. She didn’t only lambast the president and his vice president but also some NPP supporters.
In a series of tweets shared by Yvonne that 1Family Radio sighted, she asked if the president and his vice president are able to sleep comfortably at night after signing the agreement that China should have access to the country’s mineral revenue and electricity sales.
“It’s just unbelievable! Like howww? You guys can sleep at night? @NanaAddo @MBawumia,’’ she asserted.
She continued that the most painful aspect of all this is that you still see NPP members supporting and applauding the government despite the problems the country is facing.
“NPP supporters will always come under your post, insult, and disgrace themselves. grown men and women. Hiding behind Twitter pages. Pathetic,’’ Yvonne wrote.
Without mincing words, the actress empathetically stated that her post is to the president of Ghana because he is the one in charge of the country’s affairs.
“And yes, my previous tweet was to the president. He is the one in charge now,’’ she reiterated.
