Magaret Ansei, a member of the communication team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has stated that the president of Ghana always embarrasses the country whenever he makes utterances on international platforms.
Her remark was in reaction to an earlier statement made by President Akuffo-Addo at the Qatar-Africa Economic Forum in Doha.
“We have positioned ourselves to be able to go back into the international market, which had been a source of funding for us during the first three or four years of our government,’’ Akuffo-Addo said.
According to the NDC communicator, the president was able to make such an utterance because he doesn’t read.
Speaking in an interview on TV3, monitored by 1Family Radio, Magaret noted that Akuffo-Addo mostly embarrasses the country with some of the utterances he makes on international platforms.
“I am saying it that, from the way this president looks, the way he talks, and the way he answers questions when he is caught unawares, The way he cannot answer questions properly, the gentleman doesn’t read,’’ she said.
“The gentleman doesn’t read, and he is causing us a lot of embarrassment, especially when he goes out there, with our international image.’’
“Branding is very important as a country; top of mind awareness; the president always goes to sit on international platforms, making utterances so ignorantly, and you don’t want us to talk about it?’’ she quizzed.
