Prophet Kofi Oduro, the founder and leader of the Alabaster International Ministry, has admonished Ghanaian politicians against sponsoring the opulent lifestyle of their mistresses and side chicks with parts of the IMF loan.
Last Wednesday, the country secured a $3 billion credit facility from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Reacting to this, the pastor has advised government officials not to use the money to fund the lavish lifestyle of their side chicks because they don’t work for the country.
“Ensure that none of the money you have received doesn’t land in the pockets of your girlfriends. Your girlfriends don’t work for Ghana,’’ he noted in a viral video sighted by 1Family Radio.
“You will see a Legon girl driving Range Rovers, Land Cruisers, Benzes, and a Goil coupon worth GH40,000.” A fake and hypocritical life is all we know.’’
“Someone will just steal a goat or a mobile phone and will be sentenced to eight years imprisonment, but the real thieves are in suits driving land cruisers, and we gladly call them honorable,’’ he added.
He continued that because of how corrupt we are, the IMF board doesn’t even trust us anymore, which is why they are now giving us the loan in tranches.
Instead of giving us the money instantly, the IMF is now giving it to us bit by bit. $600 million every six months for three years. Why? Because we cannot be trusted. The IMF wants to see whether the money will be used for its intended purpose. They are now monitoring our projects.’’
Ghana, is this how you have disgraced yourself? Some years ago, President Akuffo-Addo was in Amasaman to cut sod for affordable housing; now it’s already been four years and you cannot even see the foundation being laid.’’
“So if I am telling you to be cautious with this present loan, what have I said wrong?” he quizzed.
