Francine Koffie, Ghanaian highlife and Afro dancehall singer professionally known as Fantana has stated that she entered music because she had the passion for music.
She claimed that she was however forced by Ghanaians to prove a point after she entered the music industry although she liked music.
Fantana made this assertion when she appeared as a guest on the 3FMDrive monitored by 1Family Radio.
“I entered the music industry because I actually enjoy music; yet, you guys pushed me into doing otherwise, she claimed.
Fantana discussed her mother’s investment in her company and her choice to forego the proceeds from the stream in the interview.
“Yeah, everything is under my name since my mother paid for everything when I was a child at that record label. I own every song and video, but I don’t really pay attention to that,’’ she said.
Fantana, a rising star in the Ghanaian music scene, has endured praise and derision throughout her career, particularly from people who aren’t her fans who think she sings poorly.
