Ghanaian entertainment journalist and pundit, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has once again descended on gospel musician Brother Sammy for allowing a lady to shake her buttocks to promote his album.
Last week on UTV’s United Showbiz, Arnold criticized Brother Sammy over his decision to employ a woman to shake her buttocks in an attempt to promote his new album. He described this act by Bro. Sammy as foolishness.
In a recent interview on the same show monitored by 1Family Radio, the entertainment pundit defended what he had said earlier on the show but this time around, in the presence of the gospel artiste.
He however clarified that he didn’t not insult the gospel musician but he only criticized the channel through which he chose to promote his album.
“I am standing by position with all my chest, strength and vigor. I am not wavering. I am firmly standing by what I said.”
“Brother Sammy is claiming that I insulted him, that’s not true. I only criticized the act, there is a difference. I said the foolishness is too much so I didn’t insult you,’’ he told MzGee.
Clarifying what he said a week earlier on the show, Arnold noted; “I said you are fooling with the gospel too much, the manner in which you are projecting Christ is not right. As a matter of fact, you and all those who came up with the act are not correct. The act was foolishness.’’
In an attempt to justify his statement, Arnold cited some great men in the bible and differentiated between their personality and some foolish act they indulged in. He mentioned names like Solomon and David to buttress his point.
“Solomon was not a foolish person, but he acted foolish when he decided to marry foreign women and started building altars for their idols. This was an act of foolishness.’’
“David wasn’t a foolish person but killing Uriah and marrying his wife, Beersheba was a foolish act,’’ Arnold said.
