Dr. Paul Opoku-Mensah, the Executive Director of Ghana’s National Cathedral has stated that the publications by Okudzeto shows how ignorant he is of the systems in the US.
His reaction follows a publication by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Lawmaker for North Tongu in which he alleged that the Social Security Number of a deceased man was fraudulently used to incorporate Ghana’s National Cathedral in Washington DC.
According to him, the publication by the lawmaker simply shows that he lacks knowledge of the US systems and this is very embarrassing considering the fact that they are coming from a ranking member of the Parliament of Ghana.
In a statement signed by the Executive Director which was sighted by 1Family Radio, it was noted that the publications by the politician are just distortions.
“The Episode 2 of the National Cathedral sacndals- America Edition, is launched, once again by such lack of knowledge of the US systems,’’ it noted.
“As a Ghanaian, I find it extremely humiliating to see these expressed by the Ranking Member of Foreign Affairs in the Parliament of Ghana,’’ Dr. Mensah stated.
He continued, “the main body of Episode 2, however, is the malicious accusation that the National Cathedral is guilty of the serious crime of ‘identity theft’ in the registration of the National Cathedral Foundation in the USA.’’
The Executive Director of the National Cathedral furthered that all the bombshells being released by Ablakwa is nothing but twisted stories on the Project which was implemented with integrity and not criminality.
“But, this distortion is neither the result of an accident, nor ignorance. It reflects the modus operandi of the MP, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. All his so-called ‘National Cathedral scandals’ are distortions of information on the project,’’ he added.
