Famous Nigerian singer and songwriter, Chindimma Ekile has opened up on some challenges she faced growing up as a child.
According to the secular artiste who recently changed over to gospel music, she was born visually impaired.
She made this revelation in a video she shared on her YouTube channel sighted by 1Family Radio.
Chindimma stated that she was unable to open her eyes when her mother gave birth to her. She also added that her parents resorted to fasting and prayers after they were not able to conceive medically.
“As a matter of fact, I was born blind, I couldn’t even open my eyes and this was a major challenge, my parents did all they could but all proved futile,’’ she noted.
The ‘Fallen In Love’ hitmaker continued that her mother had to become a prayer warrior in order for her to gain her sight.
“We had to resort to God, my mum became a prayer warrior. She begun praying and fasting all of a sudden. My mum wasn’t used to these things but she had to do them because of the circumstance. In the long run, I was able to regain my sight,’’ Chindimma said.
“According to my mum, she vowed to dedicate me back to God, if God helps me gain my sight. My mother made a deal with God even without my knowledge,’’ she added.
