Former Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Wood questioned if propaganda would play a major role in the approaching general elections, as it has in the past.
She is wondering if politicians will base their campaign messages on developmental policies or mere propaganda, as usual.
She claims that throughout their campaigns, several politicians spread a lot of false information and ended up destroying many Ghanaian homes.
She questioned if, as a nation, we are prepared to foster hope for the future or if we would continue down the same route of propaganda while speaking at the investiture of a new District Governor for the Rotary Club’s District 9104.
“Within a year, we will be preparing to go to the polls once again to elect national leaders for this beautiful country,’’ she stated during her submission, monitored by 1Family Radio.
“Do we wish to create hope for the future by channeling our energies and other resources to developmental issues? Or is it going to be another unending trend of pure propaganda as usual?’’ she quizzed.
“It bears emphasis that deliberate falsehoods, misinformation, and dishonesty have destroyed the reputations and homes of many,’’ she said.
