Yaw Buaben Asamoa, former MP for Adentan Constituency and the current campaign manager for Alan Kyerematen has stated that it is impossible for Vice President Bawumia to become the president of this country.
According to him, Dr. Bawumia was appointed as the vice president because of his ideas and experience when it comes to managing the economy and not because he was an NPP member.
Speaking in an interview on Okay FM monitored by 1Family Radio, the politician however debunked the claims that he has endorsed Dr. Bawumia of becoming the president.
“What news does His Excellency the Vice President Dr. Bawumia intends on telling Ghanaians? He was appointed by president Akufo-Addo as the vice president because of his insights in managing the economy. He was called to join the NPP but he was not an NPP member,’’ he said.
He continued, “Bawumia was appointed the deputy governor of the Bank of Ghana because of his ideas. Bawumia has never been a member of the NPP because an NPP member is someone who has suffered and supported the party.’’
Buaben Asamoa asked the message the Bawumia has for Ghanaians because he will only be elected the president based on the message he has.
“If Bawumia has been privileged to become the vice president and he now wants to be the president, the question Ghanaians are asking is his message. What kind of message does he have because if you check the records, Alan Kyerematen has GTP.’’
“I have never endorsed Bawmuia to become a president, all those things are just propaganda. There is no place I have said that Bawumia will become president because it is impossible,’’ Asamoa noted.
