The sixth chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye has been re-elected to serve another term as the chairman of the church.
This decision was made at the 46th General Council Meetings of the church which was held at the Pentecost Convention Center in Gomoah Fetteh located in the Central Region.
During the meeting which was monitored by 1Family Radio, Apostle Eric was re-elected as the Chairman of the church after he accumulated 99.45% ‘Yes’ votes.
He garnered 1,255 votes out of the total of 1,262 votes which is equivalent to 99. 45% of the votes.
Apostle Eric Nyamekye succeed Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah exactly five years ago on the 3rd of May, 2018. His first term as the chairman has been exceptional as it initiated numerous spiritual and social developments including the construction of some prisons in the country.
The also constructed about 57 water facilities to support communities deprived of such amenities.
His ‘Possessing the Nations Agenda’ saw the introduction of the Home and Urban Missions (HUM), Ministry of persons with disabilities (MPWDs) and the chieftaincy Ministry the church has been able to reach out to people who ordinarily, were not welcomed into the church.
Spiritually, the Church of Pentecost was able to win about 1,151,723 souls for Christ and 782,578 out of these souls have been baptized with water.
The church hopes that he will continue with the good work he has begun with his second term as the Chairman of the office.
