Vice President commissions a $1 million Catheterization lab at Korle Bu

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has commissioned a catheterization laboratory at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

According to him, this $1 million Cath lab is currently the most advanced Cath lab in entire country.

A Facebook post by the Vice President sighted by 1Family Radio indicated, “I commissioned a one-million-dollar catheterization laboratory, the most advanced Cath Lab in the country.

He continued that the ‘’accompanying big detector, dyna CT and the roadmap software, and 3D workstation are essential requirements for achieving accurate and effective minimally invasive treatments at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.’’

The Vice President disclosed that these machines were procured and funded by the Bank of Ghana after an appeal from him to the Governor for the Bank to consider funding the acquisition of such essential medical equipment as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.

The Vice President expressed his gratitude towards Dr. Addison and the Bank of Ghana for their cooperation and help.
