The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has urged Ghanaians to be wary of a fraudulent internet link advertising 2023/2024 recruitment and enlistment exercise.
According to the GAF, it is not recruiting anyone yet while advising the general public to adhere to the official channels through which GAF announces their recruitment exercise.
In a statement issued by the GAF, Ghanaians were advised to treat with contempt the link which is circulating online categorically Facebook and WhatsApp advertising the 2023/204 recruitment exercise of the GAF. The link (https://recruitment.net/gaf.recruitment/) is fraudulent and the public must not patronize it.
The statement sighted by 1Family Radio indicated GAF is not organizing any recruitment exercise and has not advertised such exercise for the year 2023/2024. The public was advised to stick to the official channels through which GAF uses to announce their recruitment exercise. These channels are the Ghanaian Times and the Daily Graphic.
“GAF is once again reiterating that it doesn’t advertise on social media and does not engage middlemen for the recruitment exercise, therefore the public should desist from making payments to dishonest middlemen through mobile money,’’ it was noted.
It furthered,“GAF wishes to indicate that it not conducting any 2023/2024 recruitment or enlistment exercise at this material time.’’
“The general public is urged to note and report such advertisement and persons requesting for money to the nearest Military Installation or Police Station,’’ the statement read.
