Ghanaian highlife singer, Daddy Lumba has narrated how his first love, Theresa Abebrese supported him in life to be where he is today.
According to him, although there weren’t able to tie the knot, they shared beautiful memories togethers adding that Theresa is the inspiration behind his song Theresa Abebrese.
He narrated how Theresa fed him during the famine between 1983 and 1984 by providing him with food stuffs like rice and sugar and later financed his flight to Germany.
Daddy Lumba stated that Theresa Abebrese who was also known as Nana Konadu was attracted to him because of his intelligence and the effort he put into his studies.
“Theresa was one of the most beautiful and intelligent students in the school. I am who I am because of Theresa,’’ he noted in a video on his YouTube channel sighted by 1Family Radio.
“I wouldn’t be a legend today if not for Theresa. As human we have the tendency to forget our benefactors but I just wish Theresa is still alive for me to appreciate her.”
“Everybody who knew Nana Konadu can bear witness of her beauty and good manners. She was very generous and also my first love,’’ he narrated.
