Derrick Kobina Bonney, a Ghanaian comedian professionally known as DKB has cleared the air on why he is usually absent at events by other comedians .
According to him, he is not obliged to attend an event by a fellow comedian if he is not billed to perform.
Speaking in an interview on Joy FM monitored by 1Family Radio, the comedian noted that if he is invited as a guest at a program and he is not booked to perform, he is at liberty not to attend that event.
He noted ‘’if I am not billed to perform and I have other gigs, I can attend to them, but if you put me on a bill, I owe you a duty to show up.’’
The comedian furthered that he is never offended if he is not billed by other comedians to perform at their events.
“first of all, I am not offended if a comedian does not put me on his program and it is even impossible to be on everyone’s program. This is basically the whole point,’’ he added.
He concluded that if he is not seen at an event, it simply means that he was not billed to perform and he had other engagements he must attend to.
