The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that it has officially closed the nominations for the presidential primaries elections for the 2024 general elections.
On Wednesday Febraury 22,2023, the NDC opened the nominations for both the presidential and parliamentary primaries elections which is slated for May 13,2023.
The party in a press conference monitored by 1Family Radio disclosed that all the four presidential candidates have picked up their nominations forms which brings the presidential nomination period to a close.
The four presidential candidates of the party who have picked up the nomination forms are former President John Dramani Mahama, Dr. Kwabena Duffour, the former Finance Minister under the Atta Mills government, Mr. Kojo Bonsu, the former mayor of Kumasi and Ernest Kwaku Kobeah, a UK-based businessman.
However, nominations for the parliamentary candidates will end on Saturday, Febraury 25,2023. The party is yet to tabulate the number of parliamentary candidate.
