John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress [NDC] flag bearer and former president, is adamant that the extremely precarious status of the local economy is the reason why the nation is currently in such a sorry shape.

According to Mahama, the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo, is responsible for the nation’s economic problems due to his inadequate leadership.

During a meeting in the Bono region’s Wenchi, Mahama said that the nation’s development is also regressing. In addition, he voiced his opinion, saying that the present administration had the option to determine whether to carry on the projects he had initiated, but they chose not to for political reasons.

“People believed that this area had property and development, but we have now lost everything. The country is inhumane, its economy is terrible, and it has challenges. “I thought they would continue the good work that I had left behind,” the NDC flag bearer said, “but the nation seems to be retrogressing in development.”
