TV host and actor Jeffrey Nortey talked candidly about some of the difficulties he experienced when he first started out in his acting career.
In his own words, his family’s lack of support for his acting career made his journey both difficult and arduous.
In an interview with JoyNews, which 1Family Radio monitored, Jeffrey said that there were days when he was low on income, but he always maintained a cheerful outlook and looked forward to brighter times.
“It was extremely rough because, as an individual, starting this thing, my family was not in support because they had taken you to school, get you a job, further your education, and bring money home, and I said this is the kind of job people can give; boom, you become a star.’’
“Your tool is your face, your body, and your voice. You have to work on it. I remember the days when, after eating, I didn’t have money and had to walk some distance before picking up a troski. It was some way, but I was just enjoying it. I wasn’t all about being a star or having money,’’ he said.
For his roles in both foreign and Ghanaian movies, Jeffrey Nortey is well-known in the entertainment business. His brilliance has been seen in a number of roles, adding to the thriving entertainment sector in the nation.
