MC Yaa has defended Mzbel’s son, stating that, in contrast to other Ghanaians who are criticizing the musician for her son’s remark, he raised a valid question concerning God.
Speaking in an interview with UTV’s United Showbiz, which 1Family Radio monitored, MC Yaa said that since everyone has the right to have whatever views they choose, the critiques leveled by the majority of Christians about Mzbel’s son’s assertions are unjustified.
She lamented the fact that Christians in the nation are intolerant of opinions that conflict with their faith and are quick to label such people as sinful.
“I believe that most of the Christians in this country are not tolerant. We believe our beliefs are the best and must be followed. I am saying this on record: you cannot prove that your way and style of worship are the right way for our God.”
“Muslims and traditionalists would also claim their beliefs are right, so we should all be in our lane. Most of the time, people are so quick to jump on issues and tag someone as evil for speaking against God,’’ she said.
“I have heard people criticizing Mzbel’s son for saying there is no God, but away from that, he raised a legitimate issue. He meant that if you believe there is God, he has not seen anyone who prayed the whole day for money to drop on him.’’
“But he has seen people working to earn an income. So inasmuch as people feel offended by him saying that there is no God, that is a legitimate question that needs answers because I have not seen it before too,’’ she added.
