Kennedy Agyapong, a prospective NPP flagbearer, claimed that Ghanaians are longing for a businessman such as him to lead the country as president.
He believes that although Ghanaians have elected attorneys, military, and economists to the presidency, they are not happy with the way the nation has been run.
Following his vote, Kennedy Agyapong spoke with a few journalists and stated that, as a businessman, he would provide new hope to Ghanaians should he be chosen as the NPP’s flagbearer and eventually as the country’s president.
“What Ghanaians are looking for is a bold and honest leader. In the situation they are in, they have tried politicians who are lawyers, soldiers, and economists, and still Ghanaians feel that it is not enough the way things are going.’’
“Therefore, Kennedy Agyapong is the best; let us give him a chance and see what a businessman can also do,’’ he noted during his submission, which is monitored by 1Family Radio.
Additionally, he declared that if elected, he would defeat former president John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“I will defeat the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), former President John Dramani Mahama,’’ he added.
