On Sunday, October 29, at the Accra International Conference Centre, the 27th edition of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards was presented.
The Electoral Commission Chairperson Jean Mensa was the guest speaker for this year’s awards, which were themed “Leveraging Media Freedom to Sustain the Democratic and Security Architecture: The Litmus Test of Election 2024.”
34 categories are represented among the nominees, and Multimedia’s Group Erastus Asare Donkor won the coveted Journalist of the Year title.
The GJA Awards Committee reports that out of the 276 entries it received, 15 were from student journalists.
