The Ghanaian Black Stars’ head coach, Chris Hiughton, has addressed a few potential explanations for why Inaki Williams hasn’t been able to score any goals for the national team.
The coach claims that Williams, who last year changed his nationality from Spain to Ghana, has not had enough opportunities to score goals.
Despite his prolific play for Athletic Bilbao, he still has issues when wearing a Black Stars jersey.
The 29-year-old has yet to record a goal in his eight games for Ghana; his most recent scoreless came against Mexico on Sunday.
Speaking with Luv FM, which was monitored by 1Family Radio, Chris said that Inaki’s teammates seldom create chances for him.
“We haven’t been able to provide Inaki Williams with that type of service,” Chris Hughton unequivocally stated.
“We need to find the right formulas to create chances for him, and up until this moment, we haven’t been able to do that,’’ he added.
