A visa waiver program has been agreed upon by South Africa and Ghana for individuals with regular passports.
The agreement is effective as of November 1st, Wednesday. This was revealed by the Foreign Affairs Ministry in a press release that was seen by 1 Family Radio on Friday, October 13.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration wishes to inform the general public that the Republic of Ghana and the Republic of South Africa have entered into an agreement on a visa waiver regime for holders of ordinary passports.”
“The agreement takes effect on November 1, 2023,’’ parts of the press release read.
According to the aforementioned statement, visitors from both nations are permitted to remain unemployed in the host nation for up to 90 days.
“Travellers may transit through, depart from, and stay in the territory of both countries for a cumulative period of up to ninety (90) days without recourse to work.”
“The traveling public is hereby advised to take note of this development,” the statement said in its conclusion.
