The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed its deep disapproval of the violent episodes that occurred at the regional office of the party in Odododiodio, South La.
On Friday, October 13, during the vetting of parliamentary contenders for the Odododiodio constituency, chaos ensued as a number of people invaded the premises, attacking a journalist and inflicting property damage.
Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, the NDC’s Greater Accra Regional Chairman, has issued a letter expressing his formal apologies to everyone who was affected by the raid and promising to hold those responsible for their acts accountable.
“On behalf of the Greater Accra Regional NDC, we sincerely apologize for what happened and also to Akosua Otchere for what happened to her, and we want to assure the country and the entire NDC that we will do everything we can to identify those who vandalized the properties and attacked people during the vetting and bring them to book,’’ parts of the letter sighted by 1Family Radio read.
“I extend my sincere apologies to Akosua Otchere and assure you that I will cover all the medical expenses incurred.”
“In conclusion, on behalf of the Greater Accra NDC, we offer our heartfelt apologies to the people of the Greater Accra and all of Ghana,’’ it stated.
