Former President John Dramani Mahama has reached out to offer Memunatu Suleman some financial support, ending the former Black Queens goalkeeper’s catastrophic situation that gained the spotlight after an interview on Original FM.
The former president’s contribution follows a scathing report by GhanaWeb on the ex-goalie’s appalling living conditions. He was residing in a wooden kiosk in Bubuiashie.
John Mahama, the frontrunner of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), reportedly took on the task of putting arrangements in place for salvaging the ex-goalie after becoming aware of her impoverished state, according to a story by the Daily Post seen by 1Family Radio.
According to the Daily Post article, Mahama’s first act of generosity was to get Memunatu Suleman a fully furnished one-bedroom flat in the Accra neighborhood of Dansoman.
As per the story, Memunatu Suleman would get a monetary donation from John Mahama through friends in order to help her get started and make sure she finds an entirely novel path to success.
