Al Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo has stated that he is very certain that he won’t be returning to any European club again.
He made this statement in a press conference following Al Nassr’s 5-0 preseason loss against La Liga team Celta Vigo in Portugal. This press conference was monitored by Family Radio.
When asked if he intends on making a move to the U.S., he replied in the negative, saying that currently, the Saudi League is better than the MLS.
“I opened the way to the Saudi League, and now all the players are coming here. The Saudi League is better than MLS,’’ he said.
“In one year, more and more top players will come to Saudi Arabia.” In a year, the Saudi League will overtake the Turkish League and Dutch League.’’
The all-time greatest scorer for Real Madrid, who is about to end his first season with Al Nassr, said bluntly that he no longer plans to play in Europe because he believes the quality of European football has declined.
“I’m 100 percent sure I won’t return to any European club. I’m 38 years old. And European football has lost a lot of quality.’’
“The only valid one that is still doing well is the Premier League. They’re way ahead of all the other leagues,’’ he added.
