Fred Kyei Mensah, a renowned Ghanaian music producer and the CEO of Fredyma Studios, has descended heavily on Ghanaians, pressuring young musician Yaw Tog to continue his education.
The music producer claims that in contemporary society, having a lot of academic credentials does not guarantee success.
Speaking in an interview on Onua Showbiz, monitored by 1Family Radio, Uncle Fred noted that Yaw Tog can continue with his tertiary education anytime he wants because education is always accessible.
“There is no method for making money, and education is always there; if I want to go to school today, I can go and continue,’’ he said.
Citing himself as an example, he said that although he didn’t further his education to the tertiary level, he currently has some students from the School of Performing Arts where he teaches.
“If I tell you the folks from the School of Performing Arts who come to me for me to educate them for their thesis and project work, it’ll shock you, but I only completed 6th grade and didn’t continue,’’ he disclosed.
“Let’s allow Yaw Tog if he says he’ll pursue business rather than educate. There are now online courses and night classes. Since the majority of people in this age group are entrepreneurs, having a degree can only help you look more dignified in public, he remarked.
