Multi-talented comedian and skit-maker SDK Dele has expressed his appreciation to Shatta Wale for promoting his new ‘Cameraman’ song.
He added that he was taken aback when Shatta Wale, the self-acclaimed king of Ghanaian dancehall, released a video to accompany his new song because he hadn’t anticipated such a strong response.
Speaking in an interview with Amansan Krakye monitored by 1Family Radio, the comedian noted that he thought Shatta was merely joking when he promised to help promote his song.
“It’s a big privilege, and I’m very excited that among all the big artistes in Ghana, Shatta Wale chose to do a video of my song and posted it,’’ he said.
‘’He even messaged me to offer to do a video for me since he likes the music and thinks it’s lovely, but I assumed he was joking.’’
However, he has followed through on his promise, and SDK said, “I truly can’t thank him enough for such a major step in promoting my cameraman song.
He continued by saying that Shatta Wale’s video has done a lot to promote him and his new song.
“Honestly, all of these things add up to make the song travel very far, so Shatta Wale’s involvement is helping to boom my song,” SDK asserted.
