Chris Hughton, the head coach of the Black Stars, has announced the names of players who will be part of the squad to face Madagascar.
The match between Ghana and Madagascar is slated for Sunday, June 18, 2023, in Madagascar at the Kianja Barea Stadium.
The squad is made up of three goalkeepers, five midfielders, eight defenders, four strikers, and four wingers. This time around, no local player was named in the squad.
Mohammed Salisu, Tariq Lamptey, Antonie Semenyo and Daniel Kofi Kyerah were also left out of the squad listed by Chris Hughton.
Joseph Wollacott, Abdul Manf Nurudeen, and Lawrence Ati-Zigi are the goalkeepers on the coach’s 24-man roster.
The team’s midfielders will include Thomas Partey, Majeed Ashimeru, Mohammed Kudus, Edmund Addo, and Salis Samed.
The defenders are Nicholas Opoku, Alexander Djiku, Gideon Mensah, Alidu Seidu, Patrick Kpozo, and Daniel Amartey.
Jordan Ayew, Inake Williams, Andre Ayew, and Kwasi Okyere Wriedt are the attackers.
The wingers are Osman Bukari, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Joseph Painstil, and Ernest Nuamah.
