Honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency is serving as a proud polling agent for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kumawu.
Tuesday, May 23, at 7 a.m. was the official commencement of voting.
The Electoral Commission delivered election materials early in the morning to polling places in the district.
Following the passing of the late Philip Basoah, the Kumawu by-election is being held to elect a new Member of Parliament for the Kumawu constituency.
The candidate for the NDC in the race is Kwasi Amankwaa, who is said to be Dr. Kwabena Duffuor’s brother.
Ablakwa said in a tweet sighted by 1Family Radio that he is serving as a polling agent with pride because of his devotion to the NDC.
“A proud polling agent for the great NDC in today’s Kumawu by-election. For God and country,’’ he stated.
