Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, a flagbearer hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dropped the injunction order filed against the party’s presidential and parliamentary primaries.
On May 9, Dr. Duffuor requested an injunction at the High Court in an effort to halt the primaries due to worries regarding the electoral album.
On Friday, May 12, his attorneys informed the court that they had received a request to drop the lawsuit from their client.
This news was announced by Abraham Amaliba on Friday during a discussion with some journalists after the court sitting which was monitored by 1Family Radio.
Abraham Amaliba, the NDC’s Director of Legal Affairs, told journalists that the NDC was aware that the case had been dropped since Dr. Duffuor’s attorneys had informed the court that they had been given instructions to end it. As of this writing, the case has been withdrawn.
