US based Ghanaian fashion critic, Charlie Dior has descended heavily on gospel musician Ceccy Twum over her outfit to the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
According to the fashion stylist, Ceccy Twum is the worst dressed nominee on the night of the awards.
Ceccy Twum was captured on the red carpet wearing a white buttoned-shirt with a pair of cargo jeans. She paired her outfit with a handbag and a crystal-silver necklace.
Charlie Dior made mockery of her appearance on the red carpet saying that this outfit is taken to a PTA meeting.
He made this remarks in a video he shared on YouTube on the ‘fails and slays’ at the VGMA award sighted by 1Family Radio.
“Are you freaking kidding me? Are you freaking kidding me ceccy? What is happening? Whose idea was this?” he quizzed.
Cargo jeans are in style, oh yes, these jeans are now trendy. But honey this is a wrong look for the VGMAs. Once again, I don’t necessarily blame her because we don’t have a theme. We don’t have a theme for the VGMA red carpet so are celebrities are walking the red carpet dressed anyhow to grace the red carpet.’’
“But this is the wrong event to wear this type of outfit to. I mean this is what you wear to brunch, this is what you wear to your PTA meeting, this is what you wear to Osu market,’’ he said hysterically.
“I am so confused by this look. She went full glam with the makeup and the accessories but very casual with the entire look. Everything else is looks basic. Basic cornrows, basic button-up shirt, basic cargo jeans. This is forgettable, I am really disappointed by this look.’’
“And please throw the entire bag away. Personally, handbags on the red carpet doesn’t work for me. Give that bag to assistant to hold, don’t walk on the red carpet with your handbag especially if it is basic and doesn’t give anything. Are we serious? Are we really serious with this outfit?’’ she quizzed again.
Without mincing words, Charlie reiterated that Ceccy’s outfit is worn to the market or a PTA meeting and not to the VGMA.
“This is the worst dressed nominee for me and we will be burning it slow,’’ she added.
