The Secretariat of the National Cathedral project of Ghana has refuted some allegations made by the lawmaker for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa on Tuesday.
According to the parliamentarian, the name National Cathedral of Ghana and the Museum Foundation Inc. is unmistakably different from what was incorporated in Ghana on July 18, 2023 as the National Cathedral of Ghana.
He also alleged that none of the prominent ministers of the gospel who are currently serving as trustees of the project featured in the articles of incorporation and list of trustees as submitted to the US authorities.
However, in a four-pages statement release sighted by 1Family Radio, the cathedral has debunked all these allegations made by the MP. The secretariat stated that although ‘’issues of credibility are critical to the project for which they welcome parliamentary oversight of state resources but parliamentary insight is not exercised on social media and they are not ready to engage in any constant tit-for-tat social media war on this project.’’
The statement which was signed by Dr. Paul Opoku-Mensah, the Executive Director of the National Cathedral of Ghana indicated that the project was implemented with integrity, and not criminality.
