Ghanaian musical hip-life duo, Keche has reacted to a statement made by colleague artiste Kuami Eugene over the weekend.
Speaking in an interview with Delay on TV3, Kuami Eugen alleged he wrote the entire lyrics for the song ‘No Dulling’. He added that the only line Keche added to the lyrics of the song was ‘otan bebrebe yi entiwo da aa wo da?
“I think it’s because here in this country, when someone writes a song for someone, people think the person who the song was written for doesn’t have talent but it doesn’t work like that in the western world.’’
“When they came, I had already written the song. So what they came to add was ‘Otan bebrebe yi enti wo da aa wo da?’’ Eugene noted.
Keche Joshua, one of the duo in a video has debunked the claims made by Kuami Eugen adding that nobody has ever written a song for the duo.
In video posted by Keche Joshua on his Twitter page which was sighted by 1Family Radio, he made a mockery of the statement made by Eugene.
“So that’s all we did in the song eiiii hmmmm it’s well with us,’’ the caption of the video stated. He continued that the song was written by Andrew and not Kuami Eugene.
“He said the only thing we did in the song was ‘Otan bebrebe yi enti wo da aa wo da?’ Hmm, so Andrew, the only thing we did in ‘No dulling’ was this, I am confused, I don’t get it,’’ he said this amidst laughter.
