Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed his profound gratitude to the leadership of the Ghana church of Pentecost for inviting him to the 46th General Council Meeting.
On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, Dr. Bawumia graced the event with his presence as the special guest of honor at Gomoa Fetteh.
In a Facebook post by the vice president which was sighted by 1Family Radio, he commended the church for its persistence and achievement over the years.
“I was privileged to once again be invited as Special Guest of Honor at the Church of Pentecost’s annual General Council Meeting,’’ he wrote.
He continued that although the church had a humble beginning, it has strived to attain greater heights both locally and internationally.
“As a small indigenous church that began in Ghana, the Church of Pentecost has grown to become a great international Pentecostal Church.’’
“Few would have thought this impossible when the church was first founded decades ago, but with good leadership, a shared vision for development, the grace of God it has become possible,’’ Dr. Bawumia said.
According to him, Ghana will be a better place if Ghanaians emulate this attitude of the Church of Pentecost.
“This admirable achievement clearly shows that in much the same way, Ghana can become an advanced nation if we put our minds to it. A collective ‘can-do’ spirit devoid of an impossibility mindset would take Ghana very far,’’ he added.
