Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu on the ticket of the NDC has made some more troubling revelations about the National Cathedral of Ghana as he promised earlier on.

In a Facebook post by the lwamker, he has made some allegations and also reacted to the press release by the Secretariat of the National Cathedral of Ghana.

The post which was sighted by 1Family Radio indicated revealed that the details of a dead man was used to register the National Cathedral in the US.

“As promised, here we go with episode 2 of the American Edition of National Cathedral scandals which is bound to hit many Ghanaians like artillery bombardment,’’ the post stated.

In reaction to the statement release by the secretariat of the project on May, 2, 2023, he noted; “the Secretariat could not refute the incontrovertible fact that the Washington DC address published on its website which they now claim to be a ‘holding place’ is a deceptive and deliberately misleading claim.’’

The May 4 bombshell by Ablakwa disclosed that the Employer ID Number for the National Cathedral of Ghana and Bible Museum Foundation Inc. in Washington, DC. Was criminally executed through identity theft which is a punishable federal crime in the United States of America.

“Further irrefutable forensic investigations reveal that the Social Security Number of: 863-85-9197 used to generate the Cathedral’s Employer ID Number belongs to one Jose Salago.

He continued that further and deeper investigations and impregnable gold-standard validation which include a report from police database has established that 31- year-old who has many aliases including Jose Luiz Delapaz, Jose Isabel Salgado, Jose Luiz and Jose L De was born in March 1983 and died on September 17, 2014,’’ Ablakwa revealed.

“It has therefore emerged beyond any scintilla of doubt that the Social Security Number of a deceased young male Hispanic who died 9 years ago was fraudulently used to incorporate Ghana’s National Cathedral in Washington, DC.

According to Ablakwa, the statement “one of the requirements for the incorporation is to have a US social security number,’’ which was a line in the press release by the Secretariat signed by Dr. Paul Opoku-Mensah implicates them of identity theft.

“Regardless of the sharp rise in Identity Theft in the US, it is most unimaginable and absolutely sacrilegious that the incorporation of God’s Temple would be so desecrated,’’ he said.

“As the international disgrace reaches crescendo, one really wonders what else president Akufo-Addo is waiting for to dissolve the Board of Trustees, close down the secretariat, abrogate the contract and institute a national inquiry into this deplorable affair,’’ Ablakwa added.
