How can you expect fidelity from your side chick while you cheat on your wife – Kwabena Agyapong asks married men

Mr. Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, a Ghanaian politician and a flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has alleged that some Ghanaian men are chauvinists.

His statement was in reaction to the recent news of a married police inspector shooing his lover to death because she allegedly cheated on him.

According to him, demanding faithfulness from your side chick as a married man is a sign that you lack emotional intelligence.

Speaking in an interview monitored by 1Family Radio, the politician raised concerns about the current trend of married men abusing their side chicks for cheating on them.

“I don’t really understand married men of today. I have a few friends that I talk to but I still don’t understand. You have a wife and you still want to dictate to your girlfriend. Maybe that is why some men are called misogynist,’’ he said.

“You cheated on your wife and took a side chick. Your lover was in need and you helped her out. You can’t go and claim the things you gave her because it is done and dusted.’’

He believes all these things boils down to the fact that some men really lack emotional strength and intelligence.

“I think all these things going on in the country show how some men lack emotional intelligence. The guy in question is a police officer and I don’t think he is that bad. He was probably going through some sort of emotional pain and it is not everybody who can handle that,’’ Mr. Agyapong noted.

The politician continued that this act of a man abusing his wife or girlfriend for allegedly cheating on him is becoming too rampant in this country and something must be done about it very soon.

“A lot of men are facing such problems in Ghana. They are so insecured that just one call can raise suspicion about their wives. We now have working women and they meet a lot of people every day. And she is beautiful, a lot of people will approach her.’’

“Some of these men don’t even have evidence to buttress their suspicion just hearsay and instincts. If you know you are not emotionally stable to handle certain things, just break up with your lover,’’ he added.
