It has been disclosed that one of the president’s residence in Kyebi was pummeled by illegal miners.

This was stated in a 36-page report by the former Minister of Environment, Prof. Frimpong Boateng.

According to the report sighted by 1Family Radio, some government officials were involved in this illegal mining which took place in the president’s garden in Kyebi.

In the report, it was noted that some illegal miners were caught digging some part of the garden of President’s Akuffo-Addo’s home in an attempt to extract minerals from the land.

Prof. Frimpong stated that this illegal mining was carried out by the Youth Organizer of the NPP in the area.

“I had a telephone call from Mr. Eric Antwi, a staff at the presidency and he narrated that the youth organizer of the NPP in Kyebi was digging a field close to the house of the president for gold,’’ the statement noted.

Mr. Boateng continued that after he carried out his investigations, he discovered that the place which was affected was actually the garden of the President of the Republic. He however indicated that this incident took place without the knowledge of the president.

The former minister furthered that he had to send a squad with a bulldozer and an excavator to the place to recover the land.  He clearly hinted that that no legal action was taken against the youth organizer.
