George Akuffo-Dampare, the Inspector-General of Police has expressed his gratitude towards the president for the construction of a new ultra-modern barracks.
According to him, the new barracks is the first of its kind to be built in the country and for this, he is grateful to the president.
Speaking at the commissioning of the new ultra-modern barracks at Kwabenya which was monitored by 1Family Radio, the IGP also commended the president for delivering on his promise.
“I want to thank Mr. President in particular and his government in general for honoring his word to construct this facility and I would like to say Mr. President, again, Mr. President, and for the third time, Mr. President, we thank you so much,’’ he said.
He explained that he had to mention the Mr. President for three times because what the president has done is unprecedented.
“Are you wondering why I decided to mention Mr. President thrice? Because what we seeing, is the first of its kind in my own life history.’’
“We are forever grateful to you Mr. President and your government. It is our prayer that generations yet to come will also come and express their appreciation to you,’’ Dampare noted.
The IGP promised that he will ensure that the facility is well maintained for future generations to benefit from it.
“Mr. President, on behalf of my colleagues, I want to assure you that as long as I remain the IGP, this facility and its maintenance will never be your headache,’’ he promised.
