American gospel singer and songwriter, Ron Kenoly has stated that Ghana is one of the most welcoming countries in West Africa.
According to him, his ancestors came from Ghana and it is only right that he returns home to where he truly belongs.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with 3 Entertainment at the 25th Harvest Praise at the UPSA, the singer disclosed his intentions of becoming a citizen of Ghana.
“My main motive here is to become a resident and eventually become a citizen of Ghana,’’ he noted.
He continued that he is currently working on acquiring his residence permit to enable him become a citizen.
“For the past few weeks, I have been filling out forms and documents to acquire a residency permit and in due course I will become a Ghanaian.”
When asked why he wants to become a Ghanaian citizen, he stated, “Ghana is known to be one of the hospitable countries in terms of people and social events. It is most welcoming to people who have really experienced the diaspora.’’
He furthered that he believes that it is time for him to return to his roots where his ancestors came from.
“My forefathers came from this continent to America and I believe it is time for us to return home,’’ he said.
