Dr. Kwabena Duffour, a former Minister of Finance and a flagbearer hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has his main focus will be on the grassroots of the party should he assume the flagbearer of the NDC.
The voting for the flagbearership if the NDC is slated for the 13th of May, 2023. Mr. Duffour is contesting against former president John Dramani Mahama and Kojo Bonsu.
According to him, the NDC can only gain victory in the 2024 presidential elections if the grassroots of the party is strengthened.
In a post he shared on his Facebook page, the politician indicated that his top priority is to strengthen the grassroots of the NDC since they are the backbone of the party.
The post which was sighted by 1Family Radio stated, “I am pleased to announce that I have picked the number 3 slot on the ballot paper to contest in the NDC flagbearer race come May 13, 2023.’’
My top priority is to strengthen the party’s grassroots. They are the backbone of our party, and we need them to be strong, well resourced and focused to take on the NPP in the 2024 elections.’’
He furthered, “let’s stay united and committed to cause. Together, we can build a stronger NDC for a brighter future for Ghana.’’
