Ghanaian highlife musician, Kuami Eugene has explained why he didn’t grant Fotocopy the feature he wanted from him despite the relationship between Eugene and the boy’s father.
Fotocopy, a nine-year old Ghanaian musician some weeks ago alleged that Kuami Eugene refused to collaborate with him because of the size of his fanbase.
In an interview on Bryt TV Fotocopy noted, “I don’t want to talk about it but in the industry, I hate Kuami Eugene because of what he told me. It took me like a week before I ate. He told me that my numbers were too small therefore he can’t feature me.’’
However, Kuami Eugene has stated that the young talent and his father, Qwaachi didn’t use the right channel in requesting for the feature they wanted.
According to the highlife artiste, he doesn’t just feature anyone because it takes good conversation to get a feature.
Eugene narrated that he was at the residence of Richie’s mum when Fotocopy and his father, Qwaachi came along and requested that Kuami features the boy but he told them that this must be done formally.
“Whatever I am about to say is not Fotocopy because he is too young to understand some of the words he used,’’ Eugene noted.
He furthered that before he can feature another artiste, the person must talk with his management formally. “Eugene is not there to feature with everyone. It takes good conversation to have a feature,’’ he stated in an interview on Joy Prime monitored by 1Family Radio.
Eugene explained that there are a lot of people wanting to feature him but he can’t do a collaboration with everyone.
“I am from Fadama and I have over 50 boys who want to feature me but I can’t feature them all. The career will end and we will all not benefit,’’ he explained.
He indicated that there is no way he can say such hurtful things to a young boy.
