Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of finance, Kwasi Kwarteng has chided former President John Dramani Mahama over a statement he made with respect to the food given to the students on the Free SHS program.
The former president during one of his campaign tours in the Central Region of Ghana stated that even a dog will reject the food served to the students on the Free Senior High School program of the president.
Mahama noted, “if you see the type of food being served to the children in schools, you will quiver to give such food to a dog in your house.’’
Mr. Kwasi has cautioned John Mahama to retract his statement words because they are unrefined and unpresidential.
In a post he shared on his Facebook page sighted by 1Family Radio, Mr. Kwarteng stated, “Former President John Dramani Mahama is noted for his unpresidential utterances but we didn’t expect that he could be this vulgar.’’
“He has not only condemned our efforts to provide quality education for these students but he has also reduced them to dogs which is very insulting and abusive,’’ he noted.
The PRO furthered, “remarks such as this is unacceptable, primitive and unpresidential. For someone whose administration experienced the worst educational outcomes shouldn’t make comments like this. He must offer apology to Ghanaian students.’’
