The words in every song you consume come straight into your heart, which forms and frames your lifestyle and for this reason you have to be wary of the songs you listen to.
Moses Osei Kwarteng, a Ghanaian gospel musician and author better known as Moses OK has advised the Christendom against the listening of secular songs.
Speaking in an interview on Onua TV monitored by 1Familyradio, the author stated that Christians must only listen to songs which edify them and helps their spiritual growth.
“You shouldn’t listen to songs which are not scriptural and are in contrast with the scriptures. This is why I advise people to desist from listening to secular songs,’’ he stated.
According to him, the lyrics of every song is backed by a spirit which produces power and for this reason, he urged Christians to listen to only gospel songs which are backed by the spirit of God.
“As a Christian, you can’t listen to just any music. When I say Christian, I am referring to spirit-filled Christians and not those who just call themselves Christian.’’
“You must listen to Gospel songs because the lyrics in every song you consume come straight into your heart and because they are backed by a spirit, they form and frame your lifestyle,’’ he disclosed.
He added, ‘’this is why God himself gave us his word, which is light unto our path.’’
