Chris Hughton, the new head coach of the Black Stars continues to receive praises and applauds by some section of Ghanaians for his bold decisions to bench some non-performing players in the match against Angola.
Ace sports broadcast journalist has also shared his two cents about the new coach’s bold decisions to bench players like Jordan Ayew and Dede Ayew in his matchday squad.
According to him, Chris is a brave man who cannot be easily manipulated by the officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Speaking in an interview monitored by 1Familyradio, the journalist noted that for the first time in decades, the Black Stars has gotten a coach who is confident enough to drop Jordan Ayew and other players who are not really performing.
He however stated that Jordan Ayew is a good player but sometimes, coaches find it hard substituting him even when things are tough. “If you enquire from Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola, they will tell you that Jordan is a big player and it is extremely difficult to substitute him,’’ he discosed.
“It is very good that Chris was courageous enough not to name Jordan in his matchday squad against Angola. This shows that he has the nerve to make bold decisions,’’ he concluded.
