Emmanuel Owusu-Bonsu, a Ghanaian-Romanian musician professionally known as Wanlov the kubolor has taken a swipe at Ghanaians who are against the LGBTQ+ community.
He also questioned the general public how the sexuality of a person affects the progress and the peace of the country.
Speaking in an interview with Doreen Abayaa on GhanaWeb monitored by 1Family Radio, the musician indicated that queer people should have the freedom to live their lives as they want and they shouldn’t be criticized.
“I believe people are at liberty to do whatever they want to do as long as it doesn’t affect the next person negatively,’’ he stated.
“Nobody can explain how queer people are causing problems in the country. However, if a queer person is in government and he is spending our money, then we can say that he is causing problems for the country,’’ Wanlov furthered.
According to him, he has no problem with queer people whose lifestyle doesn’t have a negative effect on those around them.
He continued, “the queerness is just one side of the issue. Is the person a good or bad person? I will never support a queer person who is being arraign for involving in pedophilia.’’
“Let’s allow people live the life they want as long as they are not pestering you,’’ he concluded.
