Ken Ofori-Atta, the Finance Minister of Ghana has travelled to China to have negotiations with some officials of that country over the debt restructuring.

The trip was slated for February but it was postponed to late March because it coincided with the National people’s Congress of China.

According to our sources (1Familyradio) the Minister left the country on Sunday, March 19, 2023, by Addis Ababa where he will be attending the UNECA High-Level Ministers meeting on the Global Financial Architecture.

Ken Ofori-Atta is expected to be in China on the 22nd of March, 2023, after the meeting to have bilateral talks with China and also to seek financial guarantee for the country’s debt restructuring programme with the IMF.
