An arrest warrant has been issued against the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin by the International Criminal Court.
The court accused the Russian president of triggering the Russian-Ukraine war and also the illicit deportation of children from Ukraine to Russia.
A report by BBC sighted by 1Familyradio indicated that the court charged the Russia president with being involved in the deportation of children and this crime they believed he committed directly, as well as working with other.
According to the ICC, Mr. Putin also failed to exercise his rights to stop others who dealt in the deportation of children.
Maria Lvova-Belova, the commissioner for children’s rights in Russia is also wanted by the ICC.
According to the court, these crimes were executed in Ukraine at least from February 24,2023 when Russia launched its full-scale invasion.
Moscow, the capital of Russia has however denied the allegations of war crimes during the invasion.
