Kwasi Nyantakyi, the former president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has alleged that Anas Aremeyaw tried to extort money from him in 2018 before releasing the Number 12 documentary.
Speaking in an interview on Oman FM monitored by 1Family Radio, the former boss of the GFA disclosed that Anas used lawyer Kwame Gyan, a lecturer of the University of Ghana as a channel for his ploy to extort money from him.
According to him, Anas released the Number 12 video after he refused to pay the money the journalist wanted from him.
“I am a victim of extortion schemes by Anas. When my case was revealed, he sent Kwame Gyan, a lawyer who lectures at the University of Ghana to see me. I have never met Kwame Gyan although I knew him from the media space,’’ he revealed.
He furthered that when he visited Kwame, the lecturer demanded an amount of money from him in order to vindicate me but I didn’t pay.
Kwasi Nyantakyi hinted that he is not surprise about the ruling of the court because he knew that Anas is a crook journalist who extorts money from his victims. “I am a victim of his extortionist claims,’’ he reiterated.
“The court has unveiled his true identity. He has been humiliated. He claims to be an angel but it has been proven that he is the devil’s reincarnate,’’ he added.
“Anas is a corrupt journalist and a crook person but the truth has been revealed,” he concluded.
